To unlock Torment Mode World Tier IV, you need to complete another Capstone Dungeon called The Fallen Temple. The recommended level for this dungeon is level 70 and needs to be completed on World Tier III.
Check out our playthrough of the Dungeon below:
Where Is The Fallen Temple Capstone Dungeon?
First you need to find The Fallen Temple Capstone Dungeon. It is located in the Dry Steppes Region.
If you teleport to Fate's Retreat Waypoint, you can then take the long path to the Dungeon; use your Mount to get there quicker.
Before heading into the Dungeon, pop an Elixir to help boost your stats as this Capstone Dungeon can be quite difficult!
Unlock Torment Mode - Fallen Temple Capstone Dungeon Guide
The Fallen Temple Capstone Dungeon is recommended for players who are at least Level 70; you can take on the Dungeon at any level but you might find the stronger enemies do too much damage if you are under leveled.
There are three parts to The Fallen Temple dungeon that you will need to complete.
Collect The Bloodstone and Stone Carving
Inside the Fallen Temple you will come to a place called the Antechamber Of The Dammed. You will find two pedestals here that you can place a Bloodstone on and a Stone Carving.
You'll need to head through the two door ways either side of you to obtain these items; you can pass through by interacting with them.
In the Sigil Of The Weak area you will require you to fight through several rounds of strong mobs, including:
- Fanatic
- Punisher
- Bonecleaver
- Succubus
- Flesh Thresher
- Ravager
- Crusher
- Oppressor
- Taintspur
You'll also find plenty of Elites and Champion Elites, all with affixes that can make them more difficult:
- Grave
- Mirroring
- Shocking
- Wretched
- Plaguebearer
- Damage Resistance
- Fire Enchanted
Trial Of The Weak
Eventually you'll come to a room that seals off as soon as you enter it called Trial Of The Weak.
You will need to withstand several waves of mobs as the timer counts down; each waves gets progressively more and more difficult, summoning several Elites at once for you to take on.
Once the trial is over, you can claim the Bloodstone and place it on the pedestal at the Antechamber Of The Dammed.
Next head to through the Seal Of The Indolent Door. Here you'll need to do exactly the same; there are some new mobs in this area, such as those annoying Lunatic mobs that explode on you and:
- Carver
- Vile Shaman
- Fallen Shaman
- Vile Overseer
- Fallen Lunatic
- Vile One
Trial Of The Indolent
The trial of the Indolent is very similar to the Trial Of The Weak. This time you'll need to destroy a fixed Idol of The Fallen Temple in the middle of the room as waves of mobs start spawning around you.
Pro-tip: Take out the shaman as quickly as possible to prevent them summoning even more mobs.
Take the Stone Carving back to the Antechamber Of The Dammed and a new doorway will open up.
Cathedral Of Flesh
You'll now come to an area called the Cathedral Of Flesh. Here you'll need to collect Animus spirits from the Elite Mobs called Cannibals.
The Cannibal Elites will show up on your mini-map when you are near them. There are a total of 5 to defeat, and each one will drop around 3-4 Animus spirits to collect.
Once you have all the Animus Spirits collected, head to the Animus Urn to deposit them, which will open up the doorway to the final boss.
Elias, Hatred's Remnant - Boss Fight
The final boss of The Fallen Temple is Elias and he can be quite tricky to defeat.
Elias will begin the fight by summoning several fireballs that will fly out around him; you can dodge these better by moving away from Elias, allowing them to spread out more.
He usually follows that move up with three more dark fireballs that will fly directly towards you, dealing lots of damage- but you can dodge them by using dash as soon as they start to head in your direction. If you have teleport or an unstoppable move, it's a great time to use it.
One of his strongest moves is when he summons mobs; he will shoot out ten or so summoning circles; if you get caught in them they can easily 1-shot you in you're low on health. Each circle will conjure up a mob. His summons usually land in front of him, so dashing behind Elias is a great way to avoid this move.
After summoning mobs, he will then use a burning move that creates a wide angle in front of him. It's easy to dodge by rushing behind Elias.
As you get past 60% health, he will start using some new moves, including creating a burning triangle in the middle of the room; passing around the burning lines deals significant damage. It will also summon several Balrog mobs.
Once you defeat Elias and complete The Fallen Temple dungeon, you can head to World Tier Statue in Kyovashad and unlock World Tier IV: Torment!
