Traveling Trader John is the first visitor to your Dinkum Island and will eventually setup his shop once you complete a few tasks for him.
He is very important in Dinkum and allows you to sell all the items in the game to him. He also has plenty of items for sale.
This guide will show you what you can purchase from John, the Tasks he asks for and the rewards he gives.

John Daily Tasks
You can complete one Task for John each day to increase your friendship level. Daily Tasks increase a heart by 25%.
Below is a list of tasks John can ask you and the rewards you can get.

John Weighing Rare Gems
John also will buy super-rare gems off you that he can weigh on the scales in his store. You can find these rare gems and ore on your Island, but also in the Deep Mines.
Just pick up the gem and place it on the scales; John will weigh it and pay you based on its weight! Usually you can make 30,000-80,000 Dinks per gem!
You can dig up rare gems using a shovel and Metal Detector.
