The Shinra Combat Simulator is a special area you'll gain access to during Chapter 16 of Final Fantasy VII Remake. Once you complete the game, you can then return to the Combat Simulator during Chapter 17.
The Shinra Combat Simulator features a variety of battles for you to take on, with varying degrees of difficulty and restrictions. Some battles have select party members available and others have item restrictions. There are also fights that can only be completed on Hard mode.
How To Access Shinra Combat Simulator
The first time you come across the Shinra Combat Simulator is during Chapter 16 of Final Fantasy VII Remake. Here there are a limited number of missions available for you to complete, but they're worth it- rewarding you with items like the EXP UP Materia.
After you complete FF7R, select Chapter 17 and head towards Hojo's lab. After Barret and Red XIII remove the debris to the elevator, you'll come across Chadley. Instead of going to the elevator, you can access the Shinra Combat Simulator from a room on the right.
You'll need to switch to Hard Mode in order to take on the Combat Challenges that require hard mode.

Three-Person Team vs. Top Secret
This challenge only becomes available once you have completed all other Hard Mode Challenges. It consists of 5 rounds against the following opponents:
- Shiva
- Fat Chocobo
- Leviathan
- Bahamut
- Price and Joy
The reward is the accessory item: Gotterdammerung (which allows you to enter a battle with Full Limit Break)
