What happens if you delete a burning character in Maplestory?

MapleStory's next update is just around the corner and it comes with new Burning Character event, including Tera Burning.

Once you use the Hyper Burning, Tera-Burning or Mega Burning item and assign it to a character your character will gain 2 extra levels on level up (for a total of 3).

If you delete your burning character, you won't be able to create a new one until the next event.
