Cursed Chests are scattered all around the world in Kena: Bridge Of Spirits and in order to open them you must complete a specific challenge, usually involving fighting several monsters under strict conditions. This guide will show you all the Cursed Chests in the game, as well as what their rewards/challenges are.
Cursed Chests look different from regular chests in that they glow red. The task is given to you as soon as you attempt to open the chest; you can repeat the task over and over again to try and complete it.
The Village
Cursed Chest #1
This chest can be found behind some of the houses in The Village and is accessible at the beginning of the game.
Task: Defeat 8 Enemies - No Time Limit

Cursed Chest #5
This chest can be found in the house locked behind Spirit Mail #3. There are three Cursed Chests inside.
Cursed Chest: Defeat 20 Enemies - 1:15 seconds
Rewards: Rot
Cursed Chest #6
This chest can be found in the house locked behind Spirit Mail #3. There are three Cursed Chests inside.
Cursed Chest: Defeat 18 Enemies - 1:15 seconds

Cursed Chest #7
This chest can be found in the house locked behind Spirit Mail #3. There are three Cursed Chests inside.

Cursed Chest #8
This cursed chest can be found at the Village Docks.
Cursed Chest: Defeat 2 enemies - 1:30 seconds

Cursed Chest #13
This Cursed Chest can be found in the cave just as you enter Mask Maker's Path.
Cursed Chest: Defeat 5 enemies without getting hit.

Rusu Mountain
Cursed Chest #2
Just before you cross the bridge to Rusu's house, there is a small platform to your right that if you climb up and follow, there is a Cursed Chest waiting at the end.
Cursed Chest: Defeat 4 Enemies without getting hit - No Time Limit

Forgotten Forest
Cursed Chest #3
You can find this Cursed Chest in the Sacred Tree area (where you also exit the Lantern Cave area)
Cursed Chest: Defeat 5 enemies - 40 seconds
Reward: Taro Rot Hat
Cursed Chest #4
In Forgotten Forest, there is an area where if you use Spirit Pulse, it activates stone steps across a lake. If you look to your right, there is a statue with a crystal embedded in it; hit it with an Arrow and the stop step you're on will ascend upwards, allowing you to jump onto the platform with the Cursed Chest.

Cursed Chest #11
Complete the Cursed Chest at the house to the right of the Fields teleport marker to get Rot #54.
Cursed Chest: Defeat 10 Enemies before timer runs out : 35 seconds

Cursed Chest #12
Complete the Cursed Chest to receive the Cowboy Rot Hat
Cursed Chest: Defeat 8 Enemies - no time limit
Rewards: Cowbow Rot Hat
Village Heart Cave
Cursed Chest #9
This chest can be found at the center of the Village Heart area near the wooden lift.
Cursed Chest: Defeat 15 Enemies in 60 seconds.
Reward: Gems
Cursed Chest #10
Deep inside the Village Heart cave, this chest can be found in the corner. It is in the first area you come to after dropping down into the water and coming to the cave with the bridge that needs a bomb throwing at it.
Cursed Chest: Defeat Wood Knight - no time limit
Rewards: Hana's Mask
