MapleStory 6th Job Advancement is available starting at Level 260 and will give your class brand new skills and access to the new HEXA Matrix system. This guide will explain all the mechanics of 6th job and give you some tips on where to start.

Like most Job Advancements in MapleStory, each class will get access to a special quest that starts at Level 260. Upon completing the quest, you'll unlock your new 6th job skills and can begin upgrading them.
MapleStory 6th Job was introduced in patch New Age Patch V246 and was one of the biggest updates in MapleStory History. Every MapleStory Class got a brand new 6th job ultimate skill and access to the new HEXA Stat system that boosts damage massively.
Two new currencies have also been introduced in the form of Sol Erda and Sol Erda Fragments, which is used to upgrade your skills and stats. Read more below!

Level 260 Job Advancement Quest
In order to start the 6th Job Advancement you need to be Level 260, completed 5th job advancement and the quest "[Convergence] True Form".
The (Lv 260) [Convergence] Under Ereve quest unlocks once you reach Level 260 and complete the Limina quest line in the Arcane River. Follow the Convergence questline through to the end and you will unlock the 6th Job Advancement quest.
To start the 6th Job Advancement, accept the following quest: [Job Advancement] (Lv. 260) [6th job] Merged Dimension.
TIP: The 6th Job Advancement requires killing quite a lot of mobs! A good idea is to get plenty of 3x EXP/2x EXP Coupons to help speed this process up as much as possible.
You'll be tasked with killing 10 mobs. Note you need at least 850 Arcane Force from your Arcane Symbols to hit mobs for 100% damage in this area.
Follow the quest line through and you'll be teleported inside to a place called the Erda Torrent.
Speak to the Goddess of Maple and accept the quest Goddess Inside Erda (1).
You'll be given an Arcane Stone. Double click it in your Inventory and you'll now need to accumulate EXP so that it fills up the EXP bar to 100%. The total amount is 50,000,000,000 (fifty billion EXP!). It'll take around 1 hour to fill up without any EXP Boosters.
Once complete, talk to Goddess Of Maple to complete the quest.
Start the quest The Faint Voice and head to your right until you come across the Goddess of Grandis. Accept the quest Goddess Inside Erda (2). You'll be given another Arcane Stone- fill it up with another 50 billion of EXP!
Once complete, talk to Goddess Of Grandis and a short cutscene will follow. Head to your right again and this time you'll find the Goddess Of Tynerum.
You know the drill- another Arcane Stone needs filling up with 50,000,000,000 EXP! Accept the quest Goddess Inside Erda (3).
Once complete, speak to the Goddess of Tynerum and watch a short cutscene.
Speak to Goddess of Maple World and complete the quest (Lv.260) [6th job] Into the Sol Erda. Then speak to Goddess of Grandiss and you'll be given 6 Arcane Stones:
- Vanishing Journey Stone
- Chu Chu Island Stone
- Lachelein Stone
- Arcana Stone
- Morass Stone
- Esfera Stone
Each stone can be activated in your Inventory and you'll need to earn 50,000,000,000 EXP. You can only activate one stone at a time.
Once you complete a stone, head back to the Sol Erda area and take the portal on your right.
You will come to the Sol Erda River. Here you can enter the portals of the Arcane Stones which you have completed. The portal will be highlighted as blue once it's available.
Once you complete a portal, you'll get the 50,000,000,000 EXP from the stone added!
Vanishing Journey Portal
Inside the Vanishing Journey portal you will find a Sol Erda Harvester.
Interacting with it will shoot a laser out of it. There will be three big bosses that appear on either side of the platform; defeat them to complete the area.
Once complete, you'll return to Erda Torrent and can speak to the Goddess of Grandis.
Chu Chu Island Portal
Inside the Chu Chu Island Portal all you have to do is click the three points around Muto's head.
Each point will then require you to press some key prompts.
Lachelein Portal
For this portal you just need to defeat all the mobs around the 6 points on the platforms. Keep rotating around the platforms to prevent the mobs destroying the targets.
Arcana Portal
Inside the Arcana Portal you'll need to rescue the small Spirit Erdas. To do so, just use your normal attack key several times on the mobs and they will be released.
There are a total of 6 to rescue.
Morass Portal
For the Morass Portal you need to just hit the Red Squares several times with your normal attack until you get the prompt it's time to move on.
Esfera Portal
In the Esfera Portal you need to defeat all the Sol Erda mobs.
Once you complete all 6 Arcane Stones, you'll be able to accept the quest (Lv.260)[6th job] A New Age.
After a short cutscene, you'll return to where you are and a new quest will appear called (Lv.260) [6th job] A New Power. This quest will unlock the HEXA Matrix!
HEXA MATRIX System
The HEXA Matrix system is the main way of managing your new 6th Job Skills and Stats. Both skills and stats require two new currencies called Sol Erda and Sol Erda Fragments to upgrade them.
HEXA Skill System
When you first complete the 6th Job Advancement, you'll get a brand new Origin Skill for your class. This skill is placed in the HEXA Skill window automatically.
You then have the option of activating new nodes. There are four types:
- Skill Node - Where your Origin skills go. There is currently only one skill per class at the time of writing this.
- Mastery Node - Upgrades your existing 4th job skills with new effects and damage bonuses.
- Boost Node - Boosts existing 5th job skills with more damage.
- Common Node - These skills are available for every class in MapleStory.
Unlike 5th job, all the skills are available to you right away- they just need to be activated with Sol Erda and Sol Erda Fragments.
Each skill starts at Level 1, and can be increased (using Sol Erda and Sol Erda Fragments) up to Level 30.
If you look at your HEXA Skill matrix, you'll notice lots of node slots have "Coming Soon" tagged on them. These nodes will be added in future MapleStory patches.
HEXA Stat System
The second part of the HEXA Matrix system is the HEXA Stat area.
Here you can create Stat Nodes that give bonus stats. The following stats are available:
- Boss Damage
- Critical Damage
- Ignore Defence
- Damage
- Attack
- Main Stat
Each Stat Node that you create can have three different stats attached to it. One Main Stat and two Additional Stats.
The Main Stat (not to be confused with your Main Stat like STR, LUK, DEX, INT) can be assigned only once in a Stat Node.
The Additional Stats can be assigned up to 2 times across all the stat nodes you make.
It costs 5 Sol Erda and 10 Sol Erda Fragments to create a Stat Node.
Enhance A Stat Node
Once created, you can then Enhance each Stat Node you create by using Sol Erda Fragments to increase the rank of the Stat Node.
When you increase the rank of a Stat Node, there is a pre-determined chance that it will then increase the stats of your Stat Node. Somethimes when you Rank Up, you won't get any stat increases.
You have a max Rank of 20; so you get 20 potential stat increases if you're lucky!
You can change the different lines of stats on your Stat Node for Mesos (100,000,000 mesos per reset).

Sol Erda and Sol Erda Fragments
The two new currencies introduced for 6th Job are called Sol Erda and Sol Erda Fragments. Both are required for upgrading your skills and stats.
Sol Erda
Sol Erda comes from several ways:
- Getting 1,000 Sol Erda Energy
- Daily Quest
- Events
Sol Erda Energy drops from every mob in Sacred Power Maps (Continental Grandis maps) but only at 10 Sol Erda Energy at a time.
You can also earn Sol Erda Energy by defeating Hard mode Bosses:
- Lotus (Hard)
- Damien (Hard)
- Lucid (Hard)
- Will (Hard)
- Verus Hilla (Normal, Hard)
- Guardian Angel Slime (Chaos)
- Gloom (Chaos)
- Darknell (Hard)
- Black Mage (Hard, Extreme)
- Chosen Seren (Normal, Hard, Extreme)
- Kalos the Guardian (Chaos)
- Kaling (Normal)
Sol Erda Fragments
The other currency needed is Sol Erda Fragments. You can obtain Sol Erda Fragments from:
- Daily Quest
- Regular Mobs
You cannot fuse Sol Erda Fragments to make Sol Erda (they are just two completely separate currencies).
There is a daily quest you can pick up that will reward you with:
- 12 Sol Erda Fragments
- 600 Sol Erda Energy
You need to defeat 3,000 Mobs in Sacred Power Maps.
MapleStory Origin Skills
Every class in MapleStory got a brand new Origin Skill for 6th job and it is auto-equipped once you complete the Job Advancement.
Each skill has a max level of 30, which can be raised using Sol Erda and Sol Erda Fragments.
