Champion Burning is a new event in MapleStory Global that allows players to earn EXP on their other characters by playing their designated Champion Character. This event also comes with it's own Coin Shop, allowing you to buy lots of useful items for increasing your character's progression.
The Champion Burning Event is available from January 15th 2025 until March 18th 2025, so you have two whole months to participate in this event!
To get started, select the Champion Burning quest from the Event Icon when you login.
Champion Burning Double Up EXP
To start with Champion Burning, you must select a Leader who will be the character who does the grinding. It's best to select your main character that is good at mobbing for this! You can change your Leader once per week from your designated champions list (the two other characters you select).
Note: Once you select your Champions, you cannot switch them for the duration of the event! So choose wisely!
Once you have selected a Leader, you can then designate two other characters on your account to earn rewards based on your Leaders progress.
Double Up Coins
Each week you can defeat 6,000 enemies near your level to earn 7,500 Double Up Coins. This can only be done on the Leader account.
When you claim the coins from the Champion Double Up UI, those coins will also be distributed to each Champion character (effectively earning 7,500 x3 coins per week!)
You can then spend these Double Up Coins in the Double-Up Coin Shop. The items (and quantities) in the shop are unique to each Champion Character!

Double-Up EXP
You can defeat 100,000 Monsters near your level each week to earn Double-Up EXP Points. The Champion Leader can be the only character to do this.
For each monster you defeat, you get 1 Double-Up EXP Point. Your other Champion characters will also get 1 Double-Up EXP Point.
You will need to login to your other Champion characters to claim the points, which will give them EXP based on their level.
Champion Challenge
On February 12th 2025, the Champion Challenge will open up, where your Leader Champion can take on various bosses for extra rewards.
