MapleStory Lynn Skill Build Guide

June 12, 2024

Lynn the Forest Child replaces the old Beast Tamer class in MapleStory and this skill build guide will get you up to speed! The Lynn MapleStory Class uses three Spirit Guide friends to help grind down mobs and take on the top bosses of MapleStory. And yes- this class does have 6th job skills too!

Lynn class arrives on May 1st 2024 and there are several events available for anyone about to start this class! Check out the Mayple Island Patch Notes for more details.

If you previously had a Beast Tamer class, you will automatically job-change to Lynn and your old equipment, nodes and items will also transfer.

Lynn Overview

Lynn is considered an Anima class and is very similar to Beast Tamer; using animals to help attack mobs and update your skills along the way. Lynn uses Spirit Guides power to damage mobs, heal and protect party members.

Each job advancement that Lynn goes through, you'll obtain a new Spirit guide that lends their power to you. Pan, Penni and Paeon all combine to make Lynn a very versatile class. The first few job advancements might feel a little slow compared to other classes, however, once you hit 3rd and 4th job you'll be able to have great map control with your main skill Strike. Throw down a Earth Pulverization and you can fight on one side of the map whilst this skill takes care of the rest.

Once you hit 5th job, you'll get several useful party bossing skills. You get the two cooldown attacking skills Beast's Rage and Beak Strike; [Focus] Awaken will power-up a party member to help them with burst damage and then Nature's Grace gives great survivability for everyone in the party with 200% damage shield and a full heal to boot!

The Link Skill stays the same as Beast Tamers, so it's still well worth leveling this class to 210 for that!

Check our our MapleStory Training Guide to help find the fastest maps to level up your characters.

Thank you. Since I had a lvl 210 Beast Tamer for Legion, I was delighted to find a guide to my changeling. ;)

Is Lynn a good class to main?

So far I find it very much easier than the Beast Tamer and quite powerful. Doing 5th job advance, my BT was lvl 210. There have been a few attack skills, easy to manage (if you remember where you put them, lol) and many buffs. Give it a shot is my suggestion.

Question: All classes come with 4 skills at 5th job completion. So I have a bunch of shards and no idea what the original 4 should be. You left it out of your guide!!! Thanks much.

I'm still working on getting my Lynn to 200 so I'm not 100% sure what the names of Tri-nodes are. I know the 5th job main skills are (listed in the article). If you know what the node combinations are, let me know and I can update the guide :D

when i got to 5th job, no "use these" skills, just a bunch of shards (to match what I had on my BT) and the node making window! except for your guide would have no idea for tri-nodes either. And the "library" site had not been up dated either!!

Where should I allocate my hyper stats to?
1

Hyper Stats can be anything you like. If you need extra damage to defeat mobs when < level 200, focus on adding to INT stat, Damage, Normal Damage, Ignore Defense.

If you're bossing, add to Boss Damage.

If 200+, add to Arcane Power early on for that extra boost Arcana Damage boost.

You forgot to include Sweep in your second job advancement skills build. Don't know when to apply SP to Sweep.

Added! It's not that useful in 2nd job so it can be left until later.

Not reallyt get what u mean with trio : all Can you maybe explain this somewhat clearer
1
User Icon
Not on Lynn at the moment but I believe the choices for nodes is limited and "all" simply means you need to incorporate the six listed into one of two trios. These are the skills: Beast's Rage, Beak Strike, [Focus] Awaken, Nature's Grace,
Ring of Samsara, & Power of Destiny. Six of them. Three to a trio. And remember, you need 2 sets of trios to max the power. Good luck to you.
