MapleStory Wind Archer Skill Build Guide

March 28, 2024

Wind Archer is the ranged Cygnus Knights archer class in MapleStory that is powered by devastating wind attacks that make training a breeze. Wind Archer is one of the most popular Cygnus Knight classes due to their amazing mobbing skills throughout all five job advancements. They're also a decent bossing class and are easy to play.

Originally released in 2009, Wind Archer used to have a level cap of 120. They have since been revamped into full class that can hit max level, take on 5th job and stand on their own.

Wind Archer Overview

All Cygnus Knights were revamped as part of the 2022 update V.237 Ignition! They increased their damage skills, improve mobility and added in some new storylines for you to follow.

Like most Cygnus Knight classes, the theme for Wind Archer is really consistent amongst all the skills: Green. Wind Archer is a bowman type job, so you'll be using arrow consumables for most of your attacks (although there is a skill that prevents consumption). Wind Archer has gone through lots of class upgrades (with more to come) to make playing it a lot smoother as they do have a lot of buffs to manage. Apart from that, the class is fairly easy to manage and has plenty of good useful skills.

Training a Wind Archer will likely be one of the easier classes through levels 1-200. They have great mobbing skills, including Trifling Wind which can keep mobs you've missed under control. For the most part. you'll only be using one or two attacking skills and by the time you get to 5th job you'll be able to wipe entire maps out with epic V-matrix skills. If you were looking for a first-class to play, Wind Archer is perfect for it's simple mechanics and decent damage.

Bossing wise, Wind Archer is very consistent. There are no janky-skills you need to manage or combo-skill gameplay to boost damage; you simply buff up and attack. Their damage might not be at the top range of the DPS charts, but they are more than capable of taking on the end-game bosses in MapleStory with a decent amount of funding. What Wind Archer is great for is their survivability, with lots of skills that can help them tank 1-hit KO skills, dodge boss attacks and great mobility.
