Modern Warefare II has dropped and with it comes a brand new multiplayer mode featuring plenty of new maps for players to dive into. Not to be confused with MW2 from 2008, Modern Warfare II includes the classic single player campaign, multiplayer mode and co-op game mode.
This years Call Of Duty includes 13 maps for players to go on killstreaks with. As the season progresses, more maps will be added over time, helping keep the game fresh and fun.
Some maps can only be played in specific modes, with others opening up more areas for bigger game modes like Ground War.
There have been a few issues with the multiplayer maps with this year's Call Of Duty, including one map that appeared in Beta and hasn't made it into the rotation list: Valderas Museum.
Only the 11 Core Maps can be played in Private Match; the other 2 are reserved exclusively for ground war.
Modern Warfare II Multiplayer Maps
Al Bagra Fortress
One of our favorite maps to play domination on; the B flag is particularly precarious to hold down due to the amount of lines-of-sight on it. Bring your Trophy System!
Modes: Free-for-all, Domination, Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Search & Destroy, Headquarters, Hard Point, Control, Prisoner Rescue, Knock Out, Ground War
Breenbergh Hotel
Modes: Free-for-all, Domination, Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Search & Destroy, Headquarters, Hard Point, Control, Prisoner Rescue, Knock Out
Crown Raceway
One of the better maps in this years Call Of Duty is Crown Raceway. It's a three-lane map with plenty of areas to lock down for kills.
Modes: Free-for-all, Domination, Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Search & Destroy, Headquarters, Hard Point, Control, Prisoner Rescue, Knock Out
El Asilo
Modes: Free-for-all, Domination, Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Search & Destroy, Headquarters, Hard Point, Control, Prisoner Rescue, Knock Out
Embassy
Modes: Free-for-all, Domination, Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Search & Destroy, Headquarters, Hard Point, Control, Prisoner Rescue, Knock Out
Farm 18
Modes: Free-for-all, Domination, Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Search & Destroy, Headquarters, Hard Point, Control, Prisoner Rescue, Knock Out
Mercados Las Almas
Modes: Free-for-all, Domination, Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Search & Destroy, Headquarters, Hard Point, Control, Prisoner Rescue, Knock Out
Santa Sena Border Crossing
Probably one of the worst maps in the game. This map is filled with exploding cars, narrow corridors and barely any vertical movement. Expect to be camped out by ARs in this map.
Modes: Free-for-all, Domination, Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Search & Destroy, Headquarters, Hard Point, Control, Prisoner Rescue, Knock Out, Ground War
Taraq
This map is huge for a 6v6 game mode and you'll get caught out by snipers everywhere. The center cluster of buildings is the main point of control in this map.
Modes: Free-for-all, Domination, Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Search & Destroy, Headquarters, Hard Point, Control, Prisoner Rescue, Knock Out, Ground War
Zarqwa Hydroelectric
This map introduces underground water areas that allow you to swim around and come out the other side. Whilst swimming doesn't feel as strong as Black Ops III, it does add for interesting variety to the maps.
Modes: Free-for-all, Domination, Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Search & Destroy, Headquarters, Hard Point, Control, Prisoner Rescue, Knock Out, Ground War
Valderas Museum
This map is currently removed from the game. We do not know when it will return (or if ever!)
Sa'id
Modes: Ground War
Sarrif Bay
Modes: Ground War
