Fireflow Volcano Pokemon Diamond Star List
Getting a Pokemon to Diamond Star is the best rank available for a Pokemon. The below lists shows whether you can get a Diamond snapshot of a Pokemon in that level.
You can change the Research Level of a course when you select it by pressing the X button on your Nintendo Switch.

Key Fireflow Volcano Interactions
In New Pokemon Snap, there are variety of different Pokemon you can take pictures of, with different ranks and ratings. You will need to use all the tools available to you in order to get the perfect shot and some of them can be easy to miss when doing a run-through of a course.
We highly recommend you complete the New Pokemon Snap main story before you try to get all the snaps, as you will unlock lots of useful features like Turbo Mode and Burst Mode that can make capturing specific shots of Pokemon a lot easier.
Volcano
- At the beginning of the level, you will see a Shinx waiting on the right side. If you throw Fluffruit that leads him to the sitting Luxray, you can get the 4-star Diamond photo.
- A close-up of Altaria gets you the 1-star Diamond photo.
- Play music to the Altaria to get the 3-star Diamond photo.
- Getting a close-up shot of the Tyrantrum roaring will get you the 3-star Diamond.
- A close up of the standing Luxray with an Illumina Orb gets you the 2-star Diamond.
- A close up of the sitting Aerodactyl near the lava river will get you a 1-star Diamond.
- Charizard appears once you unlock Research Level 3 in the last cave on Volcano. Snap him hanging in mid-air for the 4-star diamond.
- You can get 3-star Charmander by throwing a Fluffruit into the Volcano when you go through the Alternative Route. Charmander will stick his tail up in the air allowing you to get the shot.
- Throw a Fluffruit at Slugma for the 2-star Diamond shot.
- Just before you go down into the cave (just before the alternative route) there is a Charmander way up above being cornered by an Archeops. Capture a shot of Archeops scaring the charmander for the 3-star Diamond.
- Capture a shot of sleeping Torkoal for 2-star diamond
Illumina Spot
Alternative Routes Fireflow Volcano
You can unlock various alternative routes in New Pokemon Snap courses, leading you to find brand new Pokemon and get those unique diamond snaps. To unlock these routes, you will have to perform a variety of tasks:
Volcano
- Get Fireflow Volcano to Research Level 2 and you can unlock the alternative route that leads you inside the volcano. The route comes up after you pass the Tyrantrum chasing the Archeops and you go down a slope.
