Pokemon Diamond Star List
Getting a Pokemon to Diamond Star is the best rank available for a Pokemon. The below lists shows whether you can get a Diamond snapshot of a Pokemon in that level.
You can change the Research Level of a course when you select it by pressing the X button on your Nintendo Switch.

Key Florio Nature Park Interactions
In New Pokemon Snap, there are variety of different Pokemon you can take pictures of, with different ranks and ratings. You will need to use all the tools available to you in order to get the perfect shot and some of them can be easy to miss when doing a run-through of a course.
We highly recommend you complete the New Pokemon Snap main story before try to get all the snaps as you unlock lots of useful features like Turbo Mode and Burst Mode.
Park (DAY)
- Throw a Fluffruit at Tangrowth to make him mad
- Throw a Fluffruit at Heracross to knock him off the tree.
- Play Music around Wurmple and Taillow
Park (Night)
- Throw an Illumina Orb at Magikarp sleeping to get 3 Diamonds.
- Throw an Illumina Orb at the Crystalbloom near Torterra to get 3 star Diamond
- Throw an Illumina Orb at Pinsir to get 2 star Diamond.
- Throw an Illumina Orb at Murkrow in flight to get 1 Star Diamond
- In order to get Pichu, Grookey, Shaymin and Sylveon to appear at the end of the course, throw an Illumina Orb at Scorbunny right at the beginning. Then when you see Pichu, Grookey and Sylveon sleeping next to the Torterra, scan to wake them up (throw Illumina Orb at Sylveon).
Illumina Spot
- Shaymin comes if you throw an orb at the cliff after the first crystalbloom. and jumps on the Meganium's head; this can be the 3 star diamond picture.
- Comfey comes at the first crystalbloom if you throw three orbs at Meganium.
- You can restart the course from the menu (press +) and there is a chance that the Meganium will appear on the other side of the map, leading to new interactions.
- You can find 5 Combee in the Purple Tree at the end of the course. There is also a Hoothoot inside the tree.
- You can complete the Research Task Meganium's Pal by getting all of the Combee out of the Purple Tree. Wait until the Meganium is on the right side of the tree and then knock the Hoothoot out. The Meganium will then act in surprise of the Hoothoot, allowing you to complete the task.

Alternative Routes For Florio Nature Park
You can unlock various alternative routes in New Pokemon Snap courses, leading you to find brand new Pokemon and get those unique diamond snaps. To unlock these routes, you will have to perform a variety of tasks:
Park (Day)
- [Bidoof Dam] You can unlock this route by throwing an Illumina Orb into Bidoof's dam.
