Today we're going to be opening 10 Pokemon TCG Vivid Voltage Booster Packs using our interactive blog series for unboxing Pokemon Cards!

This is a sort of test blog post series to go along with our new Pokemon TCG content. We've just added the complete Vivid Voltage set to the site for you to view and we decided to help celebrate we would do an opening of some cards.

Pokemon Cards have had a resurgence in the last year or so due to popular YouTube Unboxing Videos bringing back the nostalgia of Pokemon Cards. This has also led to a dramatic price increase in Pokemon Cards across the board- with some of the rarest going for over $100,000!

Pokemon TCG - Vivid Voltage Booster Packs

Vivid Voltage is an expansion set released in 2020 for the Pokemon TCG. Surprisingly, the set is quite rare in terms of paying a decent price for the cards. Prices for Booster Boxes (contains 36 packs) are going between $200-$300. There are currently 203 unique cards in this set.

You can see above some of the most sort after cards in th Vivid Voltage set. The top card is the Rainbow Rare Pikachu VMAX. This card is selling for around $300.00 at the time of writing this post!

You can buy Vivid Voltage Booster Packs in a number of ways.

• Booster Packs - You can buy 1 Booster Pack at a time. You get 10 Cards + 1 Energy per pack. You are guaranteed 1 Reverse Holo card and 1 Rare+ card.
• Booster Boxes - You can buy a whole box of Booster Packs. Each box contains 36 Booster Packs.
• Elite Trainer Boxes - These come with 8 Booster Packs and some other goodies, like dice, sleeves and other stuff for collectors.
• Theme Decks - These are pre-made decks for you to play the Pokemon TCG game. There's no randomness to these packs.
• Other - As with the Pokemon TCG, you can find other unique ways of getting Vivid Voltage Booster Packs; packs can be combined with others for specific sets.

We've acquired 20 Vivid Voltage Booster packs (view part 2 here!) and we'll be opening 10 today live on this blog post.

You can click on the Booster Pack below to see what we get and also see how much each individual card is worth.

Below each pack is a summary of their price when the pack was opened (21/05/2021). The price of each card is automatically updated using an API, so you can come back to this blog post in a 6 months time to see if the price of these cards has increased or not!

Hopefully we can collect all the cards in the Vivid Voltage set!

Pulled Card Prices

Summary: TCG Cost And Value

One of the main reasons the prices of Pokemon Cards have gone up so much is because people are buying them in the hopes of pulling ultra rare cards. This summary section will let us look at our pulls from the Booster Packs and whether or not we might have made a profit.

Booster Pack Cost: $5.67 x 10 = $56.70

Rare Cards Worth: $4.00 + $31.52 + $26.00 + $13.21 = $74.72

All Cards: $5.86 + $15.01 + $2.10 + $1.77 + $1.72 + $2.21 + $2.08 + $27.41 + $1.75 + $33.63 = $93.54

You can see from the data above that this was a profitable pull for these Vivid Voltage Booster Packs. Even if we just managed to sell the rare cards, we would make a profit.
