Pokemon Go Type Chart

February 17, 2023

Below you can find all the strengths and weaknesses for Pokemon Go Types. You can use this page to help you find the best Pokemon to choose in your Raid Parties or Battle Squads when coming up against a particular type.

Whilst Pokemon Go Types follow the same logic as the main games, the damage formula is slightly different. Here's all you need to know:

  • Pokemon strong against a type deal 1.6x damage
  • Pokemon resistant to a type receive 0.625x damage
  • Pokemon immune to a type receive 0.39x damage
  • When using an attack with the same type as your Pokemon, you'll benefit from STAB, which is +20% damage.

When using Dual-Type Pokemon, both types can be strong against a type or resistant to a type. In that case:

  • Dual-Type Pokemon strong against a type deal 2.56x damage
  • Dual-Type Pokemon resistant to a type receive 0.39x damage
  • Dual-Type Pokemon immune to a type receive 0.39x damage

An example of a Dual-Type Pokemon is Charizard (Fire+Flying). Fire and Flying are both weak to Rock type, so Charizard takes 256% damage from Rock types.
