Pet Companions Guide - IdleOn

March 17, 2025

Pet Companions is an area in World 1 of Idleon that allows you to obtain special pets with various permanent in-game bonuses. You can obtain one free pet per week as soon as you unlock the feature.

Pet Companions were introduced into Idleon on June 2023, along with new Pet Crystals currency that allows you to purchase multiple pets.

Whilst every account can claim one free pet per week, you can also use the Pet Crystals to purchase additional attempts to unlock more pets.

New Update: Patch V2.31 introduced brand new pets to obtain called the Fallen Spirits Companion Set.

How Pet Companions Work

Doggy

Select the Doggy in World 1 of Idleon and you'll be taken to the Companion Park.

Here you can attempt to obtain pets by either using your free-pull (once per week) or by purchasing Pet Crystals (real life money).

If you select the Free Companion button, you can attempt to obtain a new pet for free without needing Pet Crystals. Each pet has a different probability of being pulled, which can be increased by selecting a different Treat Tier.

Each Pet gives a specific bonus that is applied to every character on your account. You can obtain multiple copies of the same pet, in which case you can either use Pet Trading or Recycle the pet for Pet Crystals.

You can also assign a pet to follow you around as a cosmetic for all your characters.

There are currently two Pet Companion sections: Legacy Pets and Fallen Spirits Pets.

Legacy Pets

Pets Idleon

Legacy Pets is the first version of the Pet Companion system, comprised of 11 pets with slightly different mechanics. It is still available in the game and can be accessed from the Pet Companion park area.

Selecting the Buy button will begin feeding pets a treat and cost you a specific amount of Pet Crystals (which can be purchased for real money), and will cycle through each pet until one of them bites. If a pet bites, you will unlock that pet and receive it's bonus.

Each pet has a specific chance for it to be obtained, and you always start at the bottom of the list of pets with the highest chance of being caught. If a pet doesn't take the treat, it will then attempt the next pet in the list until there are no more pets left.

The more treats you purchase, the higher your Treat Tier will increase. Each Treat Tier will increase the chances of getting certain pets, whilst also increasing the cost of buying a treat.

Fallen Spirits Set

Fallen Spirits

In Patch V2.31, the Fallen Spirits Pet Set was added to the game. This added 12 new pets to the game.

Whilst pet's work in exactly the same way (once obtained you gain that pet's account-wide bonus), the Treat-Tier system was changed slightly.

Treat Tiers

You can now select what Treat Tier you'd like to use from the beginning (without needing to rank up). For Fallen Spirits, the following Treat Tiers are available:

Treat Odds Cost Guarantee
Basic Treat 1x 70 Crystals None
Nice Treat 3x 130 Crystals 10 Pulls: Big Mole+
Tasty Treat 7x 200 Crystals 20 Pulls: Rift Jocund+
Deluxe Treat 15x 250 Crystals 30 Pulls: Ancient Golem

As you can see from the table above, after a certain amount of pulls for a Treat Tier, you're guaranteed a Pet of a certain rarity.

The Ancient Golem, (the best pet of Fallen Spirits), you're guaranteed to get it after 30 Deluxe Treat Pulls (7500 Pet Crystals).

Pet Trading

Pet Trading

As of Patch V2.30, you can now trade pets with other players.

Only pets that are obtained from Pet Crystals can be traded.

When you want to trade with someone, double click on their character and select the Trade button to make your Trade Offer.

When the trade is complete, you get to keep your original pet and the new pet you traded for! Both pets become untradeable once the trade is complete.

You can view Trade Offers in the Pet Companion park area.

Glunko Supreme Pet

Supreme Glunko

There is also a special rare pet called the Glunko Supreme. This pet does not give any bonuses and is purely cosmetic.

The only way to obtain this pet is by winning it in a competition that LavaFlame2 hosts.

There is currently no in-game way of getting this pet.

How to obtain Pet Crystals

Pet Crystals Cost

Pet Crystals can be purchased for real money from the Pet Companion Park.

You can also obtain Pet Crystals by purchasing special Limited Time Packs from the Gem Shop.

You can get Pet Crystals by Recycling pets in the Pet Companion Park. It's best to do this for pets you have multiples of.

King Doot Pity System

King doot

The best pet in Idleon is called King Doot, which makes all the bonuses from World 5 Divinities count as active for all characters. This is a huge bonus that makes it extremely sought-after.

Unfortunately, it is also the rarest pet in the game, with a base chance of just 0.28%.

Due to community feedback about the Pet Companion system being too pay-to-win, they implemented a pity system where you will be guaranteed to get the King Doot pet after you have purchased 200 Treats.
