The final chapter of Visions Of Mana sees us face off against the formiddable Daelophos in his final form. Are you ready for the battle of your life?
Previously we entered the Distorted Sanctuary and dispatched several bosses along the way. Now our path is clear to face Daelophos at the Mana Sanctuary.
If you head to the bottom of the Mana Sanctuary, you'll have the option of fighting Daelophos and completing the game. Once you complete the game, it will restart from just before this fight.
Before you enter the final fight, you can make the fight easier by making sure you've:
- Purchased stat boosting items from Dudbear
- Equipped the latest items from the Equipment Vendors
- Found all the Lil Cactus
- Completed all the Side Quests
Boss Fight - Daelophos
Level: 66
Daelophos's form has changed once again and with it comes several new abilities.
He can make it rain down ice/fire/lightning/dark bombs, has several melee kick and punch attacks and teleports around the map like crazy. He will also summon several light/darkness projectiles that will follow you around the map as they slowly crash into the ground.
You're likely to run out of Mana if you only focus on magic attacks, so you need to generate some Mana by physical hits. You can wait for Daelophos to use it's double-fist melee attack move, as it gives you a window of opportunity to get some melee attacks in.
Once you get to around 70% HP, he will start summoning purple lasers, which move towards you at pace. There is usually a gap in between them that you can use to dodge, alternatively; you can try and read the animation and hide behind Daelophos to avoid them completely (this is rather hard as he tends to teleport across map to perform the action).
The purple laser will also appear in the middle of the arena and rotate 360 degrees. You can dodge it by double jumping and gliding over it.
If you use a Class Strike move during the lasers, you can bypass the attack altogether as it resets the fight.
Julei is great for healing in this fight; they can summon a healing tree which when you stand near generates HP. Julei can also bring back characters to full health too.
At less than 50% HP, Daelophos will transform once again.
Overall the moveset stays largely the same, except for one main ultimate attack where he will shoot out spinning darkness tornado to the edge of the arena that will then slowly twirl back inside.
His melee attacks also are now more chained, with several teleports in between making it harder to dodge.
