All characters in Visions Of Mana can expand their ability seed slots by using items known as Chalices. These items can be obtained from many different locations throughout the game, and we've got you covered with their whereabouts!
Each party member in Visions Of Mana can have a total of 10 ability seed slots. You start off with just two, and then can expand them by using items known as Chalices.
- Val - Chalice Of Hope
- Careena - Chalice Of Loyalty
- Morley - Chalice Of Tomorrow
- Palamena - Chalice Of Heirdom
- Julei - Chalice Of Change
These Chalice items are unique to each character, and you'll need to find them from Treasure Chests scattered throughout the world.
Expanding your ability seed slots can greatly increase your damage and allow you to beat the toughest bosses in the game like Black Rabite.

Val - Chalice Of Hope
Here you can find all of Val's Chalice Of Hope items to expand her ability seed slots to max of 10.
Dura Gorge - Chapter 4
You can find Val's first Chalice Of Hope in a Treasure Chest at the top of Dura Gorge.
Floating Isle Of Ulul - Chapter 7
In the middle part of the Floating Isle of Ulul, you can find Val's second Chalice Of Hope in a Treasure Chest.
Dorpher Volcano - Chapter 7
When you enter Dorpher Volcano, head up the left hand side of the volcano and you can find a Treasure Chest near a cliff edge.
Niccolo Emporium - Chapter 10
You can purchase the final Chalice Of Hope from Niccolo Emporium for 150 Niccolo Coins.
Careena - Chalice Of Loyalty
Here you can find all of Careena's Chalice Of Loyalty items to expand her ability seed slots to max of 10.
Tatoh Temple - Chapter 4
Inside the Tatoh Temple, if you head down the stairs after entering the second area, you can find a Treasure Chest in front of a gravestone containing a Chalice Of Loyalty.
Temple Of Wendel - Chapter 5
Towards the end of the Temple of Wendel, you can find a Treasure Chest on top of rock containing a Chalice of Loyalty.
Wind Sactum - Chapter 7
Near the beginning of the Wind Sactum, you can find the Chalice Of Loyalty in a Treasure Chest.
Niccolo Emporium - Chapter 10
You can purchase the final Chalice Of Loyalty from Niccolo Emporium for 150 Niccolo Coins.
Morley - Chalice Of Tomorrow
Here you can find all of Morley's Chalice Of Tomorrow items to expand her ability seed slots to max of 10.
Mylos Woods - Chapter 4
In the first Mylos Woods map, towards the entrance of Verdeus Borough, you can find a Treasure Chest with a Chalice Of Tomorrow.
Passagean Tomespire - Chapter 5
After you beat the Zehnoa boss, you can access the second area of the Passagean Tomespire where you can find a Treasure Chest with a Chalice Of Tomorrow.
Castle Creseno - Chapter 7
Inside the Castle Creseno, you can find a Treasure Chest in the room full of clock-cogs. You need to double jump onto the one in the corner to make your way across to the chest containing the chalice.

You can purchase the final Chalice Of Tomorrow from Niccolo Emporium for 150 Niccolo Coins.
Palamena - Chalice Of Heirdom
Here you can find all of Palamena's Chalice Of Heirdom items to expand her ability seed slots to max of 10.
Gamurda Mines - Chapter 4
Once you activate the tower in Gamurda Mines, you will have to activate four stone pillars into the tower. In one of the areas, you can smash through the wall and reveal a Treasure Chest containing the Chalice Of Heirdom.
Log'grattzo Dark Archives - Chapter 5
Inside the Log'grattzo Dark Archives, you can find a Treasure Chest in the entrance room behind a pile of books.
Luka Ruins Underground - Chapter 7
Just before you're about to face the Benevodon and head up some stairs, you can take a left and climb up the wall to find the Treasure Chest containing the Chalice.
Niccolo Emporium - Chapter 10
You can purchase the final Chalice Of Heirdom from Niccolo Emporium for 150 Niccolo Coins.
Julei - Chalice Of Change
Here you can find all of Julei's Chalice Of Change items to expand her ability seed slots to max of 10.
Mylos Woods - Chapter 4
In the second Mylos Woods map, you can find the Chalice Of Change in a Treasure Chest in the center of the woods where the poison is.
Sanctuary Of Mana - Chapter 6
If you head to the bottom of the Sanctuary, you will find some stone steps in the middle. Head up them, take a left and you'll find a Treasure Chest on a stone plinth.
Floating Isle Of Ulul - Chapter 7
Just after traveling on a Leaf, you can find a Treasure Chest on some stairs in Floating Isle of Ulul.
Niccolo Emporium - Chapter 10
You can purchase the final Chalice Of Change from Niccolo Emporium for 150 Niccolo Coins.
